Printing a Japanese Inspired Design onto Fabric.
Fabric Printing Workshop brought to you by Sakura and Black Mountain Fabric.
(No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided).
- We will begin with a brief overview of this simple lino printing method.
- In the morning you will create your Japanese inspired designs. (You will have the opportunity to create your own simple blocks but will also have access to pre-prepared blocks).
- In the afternoon you will print your lino blocks onto fabric.

Create works of art using a simple printmaking method. The course will provide a brief overview of different techniques, followed by hands-on print workshops. Work at your own pace creating postcards and bookmarks.
No prior knowledge needed.
- Find inspiration with a short presentation of prints and printmaking techniques (relief & stencil).
- Discover the means to create simple printed images.
- Make decorative bookmarks and postcards.
- Develop these basic skills to produce more intricate printed images.
